Leaving home has been hard but Maastricht is such a beautiful city you can’t help but fall in love.  The air is cold and crisp, the people are friendly and everything is in either Dutch or German.  There is definitely a difference in cultures but I have met a new friend (Savina) who gave me a tour of the city.
The plane trip here was killer and the transferring trains from Dusseldorf airport is no easy task especially when the station stops look like letters thrown together.   By the time I leave here though I hope my language challenged brain can learn some Dutch and or German.
Keep reading for updates on my journey in Maastricht and throughout central Europe.  I hope you’ll love it as much as I am starting too.
Happy Saturday!!!

Sarah Jessica Parker on Life & Style even though I can’t read it I flipped through to see ideas and inspiration.

It was soo Cold that morning waiting for the train to Maastricht.

Lunch with Savina.  Chicken and Mushrooms in cream sauce, salad with pom friets.
