Here in Fort Lauderdale, we are entering our fifth month of social distancing due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Heading out to brunch is currently out of the question and I am not sure when when it will happen again. Sunday Brunch has been something we enjoy with friends and discovering new brunch locations in our area. Locally, we have a few of our favorite brunch spots that we frequently enjoy on the weekends. Rising COVID-19 cases in South Florida has many of our faves closed or limited service. That means we are spending Sundays at home and also cooking more frequently. I have also started attending Sunday Brunch zoom parties, seems like it’s the new way to socialize during a global pandemic.
For me Sunday Brunch is all about catching up with friends over good food and drinks. Thats’s why I had to come up with fun new brunch reciepes to enjoy during my Sunday Brunch zoom parties.
This one is a easy brunch receipe you can try at home while social distancing. A toasty breakfast egg, ham & cheese omelette bagel topped with fresh tomatoes. I took a toasted everything bagel slathered it w/ mayo adding the warm ham & cheese omelette and ripe plum tomatoes. I poured my OJ into a champane flute adding some berries jazzing it up a bit. These small touches made Sunday Brunch feel more lavish. What I love about the Eggland’s Best frozen Ham & Cheese omelette that it’s more versatile than just a center-plate option.
