Spring Fling, Date Night & Good Eats at TRP Taste

Spring is here and it’s time to fling into some inspiring eats with an interactive dining spot in Fort Lauderdale.

If you are looking for a refreshing and engaging date night out then you have to try TRP taste right here in downtown Fort Lauderdale.  TRP Taste is a 26 seat test kitchen that offers a intimate interactive dining experience monthly.  A lovely environment where the guest get to interact and watch the chef prepare their meals.

Most date nights consist of dinner and drinks so we thought we’d step it up a notch and try something new.  That is when we discover TRP Taste 420 stoner inspired tasting menu that was happening this weekend.  Let’s get something straight there was NO cannabis that’s illegal.  However the dishes were all inspired by what would a stoner put together with whatever was in the fridge at that moment.  All six course’s were exceptionally designed to walk you down memory lane.

I am a ramen lover so I happy when I saw that the first dish was PBR “Poor Boy Ramen” which is a classic stoner dish.  My other favorite of the night was the “Wake & Bake” Pancake-wich it was mouth watering sausage wrapped in a blue berry pancake, egg, and bacon.  The only way to eat was to pick it up with your hand and take a BIG bite.  Check out my insta stories for some video of how YUMMY this pancake-wich is.

Sticking to the theme of the evening I order a Smoked “C.B.D” cocktail that comes from the Roof Top bar located upstairs.  This delicious cocktail arrived in the most interesting glass to begin with, I wasn’t sure how I should drink it. Since it was topped with a cherry basil Hayden, heresy chocolate, and smoked marshmallow.  After trying my husband’s Blood Orange Paloma that is served with a bright orange marigold.  I couldn’t help but order myself one to go with the second round of dishes.

TRP taste 26-person intimate dining experience really allows you to get to know your neighbors.  We met some amazing couples who have tried the interactive dining experiences previously and raved about them. One thing we learned about TRP tasting menu is that the portions were far from tasting portions.  You were not HUNGRY when you walked out the door.  The portions were generous portions and you definitely get more than what you pay for.  I would definelty recommend one of TRP tasting events to a couple who is interested in trying a tasting menu for the first time.

What I Wore:

Lace and ruffles aren’t always meant to be so feminine. Go ahead; mix it up! I’m a girly girl whose always had a soft spot for lace. It’s great for both daytime or evening looks. That’s why I immediately feel in love with the dress when I first saw it but didn’t get it. It was the perfect amount of lace and I really liked the neutral tones mixed in with one of my favorite colors mustard yellow. A few weeks later I found it on sale and managed to get it for free with the purchase of another sale item. I brought it home and I couldn’t wait to style it because as much as I love the femininity of this lovely lace dress I do enjoy adding some chic elements to my outfits. Playing on the neutral tones I incorporate WHITE instantly making the lace and ruffles Chic. A white blazer is a must, they are also very chic and can be worn with a jeans & graphic tee turning a blah outfit into casual chic, just like that! Here I used the jacket over my shoulders to keep me cover from the wind and rain that was moving in Friday evening. To ground the whole outfit I used one of my favorite trends white leather booties for a romantic, flirty date night outfit.
