Maxi Dress Two Ways :: Perfect for an Afternoon Lunch Date

It’s September my birthday month and the onset of all things fall for many of us but since I am in the sunny south Florida we aren’t going to be experiencing much change in the season. Autumn for Floridians is very different from rest of the US instead we will be welcoming more heat, humidity and hurricane season. Although I miss actually seeing the leaves change color and being able to wear more autumn styles it gives me a reason to visit somewhere cooler just for the experience or find ways to recreate it right at home. As long as the sun is still shining and the air is still warm I’ll still be wearing my favorite maxi dress for an afternoon lunch date with my girls.

Maxi dresses are kind of a must here in south Florida and this one is just right for our type of hot humid days that are also full of hot afternoon showers. It’s the kinda of maxi dress that you want to take with you on vacation or when you’re having a cheat day and still want to look good. It is extremely comfortable, light weight and my number one favorite feature is the pockets! Being a mom comfort and affordability is key when shopping for my outfits and I love that I can find stylish pieces like this one for under $40 at my local target!

Styling this dress was easy because of the jewel tone of the emerald green it paired well with other color combinations like mustards, oranges, tan and gold metallics. So I pulled out my muti-color clutch from F21 and brown wedges for strolling around after lunch.
