Back with another DENIM fav, the denim mini skirt! In my previous post here, I wanted to share some of my denim inspired outfit ideas for a busy stay at home mom.
As I mentioned I am a denim lover and will always find a way to wear it. One of the most classics is a denim mini. Yes, I have some really skinny legs and a small butt, who cares. I am a Petite Mom who loves to wear a denim miniskirt whenever I can. I’ll share a little secret with you the one I am wearing is actually a little girls denim skirt. Which is amazing because I can remember thinking once upon a time that I would never fit into something so small after having my son. So it doesn’t matter what your size or shape is mommas, you can wear it too! I couldn’t find one that fit me in juniors or women’s so I checked the little girl’s section and found this boho causal denim skirt.
A denim skirt is a must-have for all the warm weather here in south Florida, as well as a fun boater hat that helps keep the sun off your face. With some many ways to style a denim skirt — you really can’t go wrong. Most days I am in a pair of jeans but I love having options in my closet for when I want something different. On this Saturday I styled this denim mini skirt with a bright yellow striped button up that I tied in front & added my sister’s boater hat (thanks sis!). The straw bag, an Amazon find, is another natural element that gives the whole look that casual boho weekend ready vibe!
I even tried a little side braid to keep my hair out of my face and it wouldn’t flatten out my hair from wearing the boater hat.
This boho casual denim mini combo was the perfect outfit for a HOT Saturday in Fort Lauderdale! I enjoyed a stroll down Las Olas with the family and filled our bellies with a grilled octopus at Casasensei.
If you are a petite mom like myself don’t be afraid to shop in the little girl’s section they have on-trend pieces that are half the price. So your not only saving yourself some money mom you will look cinfully stylish. I hope that this you enjoyed this casual boho weekend look!
