Hi my friends,
I wanted to share with two simple outfits that I wore recently, where I styled this off the shoulder bodysuit out to happy hour drinks with friends and then a more casual look for a kid’s birthday party. Even though the calendar might say it’s fall it does not feel that way in Fort Lauderdale so I am still able to wear some of my summer pieces. All of these pieces can easily be transitioned into autumn once the temperatures begin to drop here.
Happy Hour
For an evening by the water and drinks I styled the lavender off the shoulder one piece with high-waisted striped pants. The soft hue of the lavender, off the shoulder ruffles and bow detail bring an element of femininity to the wide leg structure and vertical stripe on the pant. Since wide leg pants end right at my ankle I wore some neutral grey heels which will help elongate my petite silhouette. (In my post here I share some of my styling tips for wide leg pants). I really liked how sooth and cool the fabric felt against my skin even though it was pretty hot even by the water, we welcomed any cool breeze that came off the water that night.
Birthdays
For this kids parties I kept my outfit uncomplicated pairing jeans with my off the shoulder one piece. I should have chosen shorts because it was a HOT Sunday afternoon at Pinto’s Farm. Since having kids I have gone through so many pairs of jeans, right now these Ashley Mason jeans are the perfect fit and wash so I have been literally wearing them everyday. The other day I attempted to water our flower bed but the water hose attacked me while wearing these jeans. Guess what I ran inside and threw them in the wash immediately so I could have them to wear again the next day, that is how much I am obsessed with these jeans!
I remember when body suits were all the rage when I was younger and wanted one so badly that my aunt bought me one with tiny flowers all over. I had a love hate relationship with that one piece because I hated going to bathroom in them. When they became trendy again I though no way am I trying that again but… I gave in bought a few to try out, they haven’t become any easier to use the restroom in. Still I love how versatile this feminine off the shoulder body suit has been in my closet, dressing it up or keeping it low-key I will be getting more use out of it well into Fall.
