Our first-ever Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventures experience

Disclosure: I was provided complimentary tickets to view the new Disney on Ice presents Road Trip Adventures.  As always, all thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own.

I cannot begin to tell you how ecstatic I was to learn that our family would be attending our very first Disney on Ice show.  We were invited to see the new Disney on Ice presents Road Trip Adventures showing through September, in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.  Can you believe that I have NEVER seen a Disney on Ice production? So you can imagine how excited I was when I saw the invite. Not only would this be our kids’ first Disney on Ice show it would be ours too!  Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures is one Feld Entertainments newest shows and is said to be one of the most interactive ice shows to date.  I am excited to share our first-ever Disney on Ice presents Road Trip Adventures experience.  Stay tuned for scenes from all-time classics like The Lion King and one of my childhood favorite’s Aladdin with his spectacular stunts, even experience Moana’s perseverance to restore the heart of Te Fiti.

Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures

One of Feld Entertainments’ newest productions Disney on Ice presents Road Trip Adventures is an event to remember.  A live-action show where Mickey and his pals take guest on a wild road trip adventure over the rooftops of London in the Mary Poppins Returns, ride on a magic carpet in Aladdin and meet Forky from Toy Story 4 for the first time! The show is a totally immersive experience allowing guest the opportunity to sing & dance along from their seats. A few lucky families took a ride in Mickey’s wagon making them apart of this epic road trip. All throughout the show Disney tour guides and characters engaged with audience members for fun photo moments and dance parties. Photos that become apart of the show in Road Trip Adventures video photo scrapbook, ultimately capturing those memories forever.  Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures is a fabulous production that allowed our family to disconnect from our daily lives and reconnect with each other for a magical evening.

Why you should see Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures too!

It’s Exciting !!

There was no better way to experience our first Disney on Ice show than to be excited about a night of first for our family.  My excitement began when I saw that our family was invited because of this very blog. Our excitement as parents to be able to share this memorable experience with our children. Getting the opportunity to watch our kid’s faces as the rush of excitement sends color to their little cheeks when they see new & old characters perform breathtaking stunts.  All the while listening to their squeals of excitement as they sing along to Disney favorites.  Even my sister and I were excited, as we watched our own childhood favorite’s come to life on Ice.  Being able to share in the energy of excitement with my entire family made our first Disney on Ice show a sensational one! If not our number one reason to see Disney on Ice presents Road Trip Adventures.

Immersive Show Experience

The Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventures by Feld Entertainment live-action show did not disappoint.  An immersive character experience brought the Road Trip Adventures into the seats of guests.  The entire night was full of numerous magical audience participatory moments.  Starting with a dance-off that got the entire family dancing. My husband & son really brought out their best moves, I was impressed!!  Before hitting the road Mickey & Minnie with the rest of the gang gave out tons of high fives to audience members. Like I mentioned this is a fully immersive live-action show, Disney on Ice presents Road Trip Adventures allowed several families in on the action. One family even got the chance to help Mr. Incredilbe & Jack-Jack save Mickey and his Pals from the fire on the ice! The audience was even shrunk down to toy size when Woody needed help to find a new pal, Forky.  As if there weren’t enough magical moments an enchanted dance party continues when all your favorite Disney Princess make their way onto the ice for the finale of the show.  This being our first Disney on Ice Show really was a terrific experience and the fact that we were able to experience so much of the show from our seats made us want to go back to see Disney on Ice presents Raod Trip Adventures, again!

Special Characters

Disney on Ice presents Road Trip Adventures live-action show brings to life Disney childhood classics and introduces new characters for a multi-generational experience.  Giving families &  friends an enthralling connection with one another and beloved Disney characters.  The show began with Mary Poppins Returns, travel with Mary over the foggy rooftops of London.  Marvel as the lamplighters soar into the air on flying poles and bicyclist perform spectacular stunts to “Trip a Little Light Fantastic”.  As the Road Trip Adventures continue to welcome Moana and Maui onto the ice for laughs and thrilling exploration.  Brave the open seas with them to help restore the heart of Te Fiti and save Moana’s belove island Montunui.  My all-time favorite was Aladdin although I had not actually seen the new live-action movie.  I was delighted to see these ‘new’ characters come to life here on the ice.  Genie leads Prince Ali into Agrabah on a floral camel surrounded by a vibrantly adorned entourage of entertainers performing aerial arts to stunning choreographed ice-skating stunts.  I don’t know about the rest of my family but I sat mesmerized by all the beautiful colorful costumes and the upbeat music.  Days after watching Aladdin and Jasmine on an enchanted carpet ride we were still singing “A Whole New World”.   Disney on Ice presents Road Trip Adventures is definitely, a superb way to see special Disney characters that appeal to all generations.

Production

The ambiance, luminous colors, and the use of innovative technology combined with theatrical performances bring Feld Entertainments live-action show into the seats of all guests.  Every facet of this immersive Disney on Ice Show made it feel so much more intimate making us forget that we were even sitting in the BB&T Center.  My husband (the production guy) sat absorbed by the show and thought that the Feld Entertainment produced a wonderful live-action show.  What really blew me away was how the phenomenal ariel acrobatic artist performances elevated each part of classic Disney moments.  The arena is transformed into a vivid canvas of performers;  watch as brightly colored giraffes and hot pink flamingos roam the Pride Lands of Africa while Simba and Nala fall in love.  Or as Prince Ali’s parade amplifies the arena with vibrant costumes and dramatic choreographic performances on and off the ice.  You can’t help but become engrossed in every Disney story as the creative team managed to bring together the entire audience for an uplifting evening.
