A Day at Sesame Place

Around the same time we decided to break for lunch the rain really began to come down and we could see the park shutting down some of the rides and water areas.   It was the perfect time to find shelter and food for our hungry kids.  Stopping in Elmo’s Eatery we had pizza, salad, fries, cookies and cupcakes!  Although we really hoped that during lunch the rain would stop unfortunately it didn’t and we cut our day at Sesame Place short.

Tips Before heading out to Sesame Place

  • Check the weather ahead of time.  Since we were traveling and couldn’t come back during our trip I wasn’t able to change our dates once I did see the weather.  However I did hear some other park goer mention Sunny Day Passes, which allows you to come back when the weather is better.  Here you will find more information on Sesame Place’s policy on days when weather impacts rides.
  • Bring a change of clothes and shoes because you never know when the weather will change.  I came prepared with swimming, summer and warm rain jackets for the kids.  I did not come prepared with extra shoes.
  • Tickets start at 39.99 with deals happening daily.  Be sure to check the Sesame Place website for current deals. Once you purchased your tickets, here.  make sure to reserve your day at the park, here.
  • The Kids plates and cups from the kids meals are souvenirs so don’t throw them away.
  • Have FUN!
