This was my first time wearing a pleated midi skirt, I don’t have many skirts to begin with in my closet, so when I found this one online I fell in love with the overall nude color and colorful strips. I picked up this one up from JustFab (on sale now) a few months back but I hadn’t found the right event to wear it to. As a result it sat in my closet paired with a pink crop top for a date night look unworn.
I thought a blogger event at FairChild Tropical Botanical Park I attended would be the perfect place to wear this lovely skirt. It gave this petite mom a reason to dress up, hangout with other blogger’s, and enjoy some tasty treats. I styled it with a ribbed black bodysuit, cropped denim jacket and flat black mules for a flirty daytime look. This is such an easy piece to re-style multiple times, with a graphic tee and converse for casual chic look, or office look with blouse, blazer and heels.
To complete this look I added gold tone jewelry that carried through in my belt and cross-body purse. Even though the skirt has an elastic waist band I added my Gucci belt to accentuate my short torso under the cropped denim jacket. The black mules were both for comfort and practically, the event site consisted of grassy areas and I did not want my heels to sink into the grass as I walked around.
Although don’t wear skirt often I’m happy about this new addition to my wardrobe and I really want to be able to restyle key items, like this pleated midi, more ways on the blog this year. Leave me a comment below if you’d like to see more ways to wear this pleated midi skirt.
